We are accepting applications for the following 1.0FTE permanent Procurement Services Lead at the Education Centre in Seaforth, Ontario**.**
Hours of Work: 35hours per week, 12 months per year
Compensation Package Details:
Rate of Pay:$29.12 - $32.23 per hour (level 6), as outlined in the OSSTF-ESSP Collective Agreement
Pension Plan: Defined pension plan through the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System ()

E****ssential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Support AMDSB's contract management functions under the direction of the Procurement Services Manager. Responsible for maintaining a database of all current contracts, expiry dates, and scheduling to ensure adherence to the contract renewal process.
- Assist in the preparation of RFx documents for various methods of tendering and support the procurement process from start to finish.
- Support school and department users in the use of the Board's procurement systems and policies, including training/education of staff and support of future implementations/upgrades.
- Support effective vendor relations through reports on vendor performance, pricing, quality assessment, compliance to contract terms and conditions, and participation in vendor meetings, visits, and workshops.
- Perform sourcing of goods and services and prospective vendors through market research, industry analysis and traditional procurement practices.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and user departments.
- Oversee the cartage, movement, and relocation of all instructional and non-instructional supplies, furniture, and equipment including the disposal of surplus equipment and inventory.
- Assist with ongoing administrative functions as directed by the Procurement Services Manager
- Support the identification and implementation of process improvements for procurement and contract management related functions as directed by the Procurement Services Manager.
- Prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks and projects to meet tight and competing deadlines.
Job Specifications and Requirements:
- Minimum three (3) year diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain and Operations Management or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a complex purchasing and/or accounting environment.
- Completion of or working towards the Principles of Effective Public Purchasing Certificate Program via Ontario Public Buyers Association (OPBA), Certificate in Supply Chain Management for Public Procurement via University of Guelph, NISCL-CSCL Designation via the National Institute of Supply Chain Leaders, or equivalent would be an asset.
- Knowledge of applicable public sector legislation and trade agreements including but not limited to the BPS Procurement Directive, the BPS Interim Measures, the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), and the Canada- European Union (EU) Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience in a purchasing/procurement or accounting role.
- Experience in a public sector setting is a desired asset.
- Cross-functional skills such as contract management, risk assessment, project management are a desired asset.
- Experience collaborating with a variety of Group Purchasing Organizations and Shared Services Organizations such as Supply Ontario, OECM & Kinetic GPO is considered an asset.
- Experience with Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Tenders (RFT), purchasing methods and competitive negotiations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access), Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive) and computerized financial/purchasing systems.
- Demonstrated belief in customer service excellence.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with meeting deadlines, streamlining work processes, and working cooperatively.
- Ability to self-motivate and to work both independently and with teams.
- Valid class G Ontario Driver's license.
