SALARY: Class 4 – $44,245.23 to $68,069.59 / year
SCHEDULE: 33.00 hours per week, DAY; TUESDAY to FRIDAY - 08:15 to 17:30 - B
WORK MODE: In-person
WORK LOCATION: Administration, Finance, 1333 BOUL CHOMEDEY Laval H7V 3Y1
The challenges that await you
Perform various tasks related to the assessment and collection of taxes and other revenues as well as the transmission of relevant information.
- You will inform the public at the counter or by phone, obtain relevant information, discuss with the taxpayer to resolve their tax issues and assist them in their procedures, and if necessary, you will make the required arrangements regarding adjustments and tax payments in accordance with established standards;
- You will prepare, based on written requests for information and in accordance with established standards, the relevant correspondence and send it to the requester;
- You will conduct various research with the different City Services to resolve tax adjustment requests;
- You will prepare, based on various information, the documents and information used for billing and various pricing such as: false alarms, pool rates, etc.;
- You will enter into the system, based on the issuance of certificates from the assessor and the adoption of municipal regulations as well as various supporting documents, the required adjustments for the purpose of modifying the collection role;
- You will conduct the necessary research to obtain useful information for sending accounts and tax statements and modify postal addresses if necessary;
- You will prepare, for validation and recording purposes, the collections of taxes and other revenues.
The ideal profile for us
- Hold a high school diploma;
- Having an AEC or D.E.C. in accounting is desirable;
- Possess one year of experience in customer service;
- Have experience in accounts receivable (asset);
- Have experience in cash handling (asset);
- Master the MS Office suite software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
