Under the direction of the Production Supervisor / Team Lead you will be responsible for daily production targets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Self-motivated individuals able to work safely with minimal supervision
- Reliable and punctual with good work ethics
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Previous experience working with small tools and building things is an asset
- Follow directions from the Department Lead Hand and Production Supervisor
- Communicate with Lead Hand or Production Supervisor any discrepancies or issues
- Any other duties deemed necessary by the Production Supervisor
- Assembling piping and components for use
- Assembling piping and components in the proper orientation and position
- Utilizing Oxy-Acetylene torch to solder or braze pipe and component connections
- Performing leak detection on pressurized systems using gauges or electronic equipment
- Evacuating and charging refrigeration systems
- Reclaiming refrigeration systems and tanks as required
Skills, Education, and/or Experience
The following are education and experience criteria used to evaluate the suitability of the General Labourer Profile or candidates for the position:
- Ability to safely use hand/power tools required to complete tasks
- Quality workmanship
- Attention to detail
- Good team player
- Ability to organize
- High level of accuracy
- Ability to learn new skills and apply them as required
- Ability to follow schedules to meet required deadlines
- Previous experience in assembly, electrical components, braising, and picking parts in a warehouse environment is an asset
- Experience with Manual pump carts and materials handling preferred
- Forklift experience is an asset. In-house training is available
- Ability to read a measuring tape and strong math skills
Job Conditions
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighting over 25 lbs but not more then 50 lbs.
- Physically demanding
- Extended periods of time standing and up and down ladders
Work Environment:
- Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office.
- Bright Lightening & clean work stations
- Inclusive & Positive Culture
- May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
- Overtime as required
- No shift rotation
