Position Summary:
As a key member of the Operations Team, the Conversion Supervisor will be responsible for the set up and tear down of all event/concerts at the Tribute Communities Centre. Conversion supervisor will oversee a crew of 6-20 staff and ensure all event details are completed in a safe and timely manner.
This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00 CAD

About the Venue:
The Tribute Communities Centre is Durham Region’s premier sports and live entertainment facility and is managed by Oak View Group. The Tribute Communities Centre is home to the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League and hosts a myriad of events including concerts, circuses, ice skating and family shows.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises and safely lead crews of 6-20 staff for concert & event set-ups utilizing; folding chairs, drapery, stacking chairs and tables; all various shapes and sizes
- Working knowledge of operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging, retractable seating risers, basketball floors, hockey glass, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to comprehend Event Details and communicate clear instructions for concert and event set ups
- Communicate positively and professionally with internal customers and co-workers to meet organizational goals
- Climb stairs and be able to lift 75lbs unaided
- Must be able to bend, stretch, move in repetitive motions, etc.
- Good knowledge of hand and power tools
- Perform other duties assigned
Qualifications:
- Must express a willingness to learn and adapt to a changing work environment
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and mostly overnights as needed
- General knowledge of concert and event set up and tear down
- Handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines
- Must have demonstrated ability to function safely in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
- Fork lift and First Aid certification is required
- WHMIS certification
- Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge – Outlook, Excel
- Adhere to all OVG service standards and policies including Health & Safety
- Work in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Perform all related duties and special projects as assigned
