THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for casualHealth Care Assistantsto join our team atCasa Mia Carein Vancouver, B.C.
Wage $29.83
PRIMARY DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide holistic personal, emotional and psychosocial care to residents

Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skincare, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing, and grooming
-
Use a variety of specialized equipment such as electric beds, mechanical lifts, tubs, and wheelchairs
-
Actively participate in facility meetings and education programs.

Assist in admission, discharge, and transfer of residents.

Be fluent in verbal, written, and electronic communication in English

Ensure the highest resident safety and well-being
-
Monitor, report, and document changes in resident’s health status
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an approved Care Aide, RCA, Nursing assistant, or PSW program
- Registered and in good standing with the BC Care Aide Registry
- Current First Aid, WHMIS and Food Safe Certificates.
- Must be in good health and be physically able to perform all aspects of the position.
- Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
- COVID-19 Immunization Certificate
**About us:**Casa Mia Care opened its doors in July 2023. This heritage home offers 90 long term care beds, consisting of primarily single occupancy rooms. Many with expansive views over the Fraser River. Casa Mia is a storied 1930’s mansion boasting views of gorgeous grounds, the Fraser River, Georgia Straight, and the mountains of Vancouver Island. Casa Mia works in collaboration with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority to offer funded beds but also has 32 private pay rooms available.
