About the role

Are you passionate about shaping impactful digital products? As a Product Owner, you'll have the opportunity to drive the development of our offerings, ensuring they enhance the daily lives of our users. You will act as the cornerstone on the various projects you will lead.

You’ll be in charge of defining, prioritizing, and taking charge of the work generated by a development team in order to maximize the value of the product offered to the client. As a Product Owner, you will gather feature requests, plan releases, and coordinate the product’s roadmap. You are the owner for one or multiple products from inception to launch in close collaboration with various roles from Product, Design, Delivery and Engineering.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Part of the Newforma product, focusing on Vision, Goals, and Roadmap

  • Lead the conceptualization, planning, and execution of new features and modules in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

  • Prioritize and organize the product backlog to align with business objectives

  • Writing user stories and acceptance criteria for new features, and functionality

  • Play a pivotal role in the Project Management Process

  • Participate in your team’s rituals, such as daily’s, demos, and retrospectives

  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release and Sprint Goals by proposing alternate solution

  • Ensure the platform is user-friendly by implementing UX best practices and principles

  • Act as an expert resource to internal teams for part of the Newforma Konekt product

  • Ensure that the development team understands the elements of the product roadmap at the required level

  • Collaborate with the development team to plan and coordinate releases, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery

  • Analyze and raise dependencies with the development team

  • Facilitate Priorization conversations, using market and product metrics to influence decisions

  • Review and approve comprehensive documentation, including user guides, technical specifications, and release notes for the platform

  • Drive innovation and stay abreast of industry trends to keep the product competitive

  • Define and monitor key metrics relative to the value generated, usage and performance of the platform

  • Produce beta and release documentation when needed

  • Look for opportunities for continuous process improvement with your team

  • Work closely with stakeholders by participating in user research, leveraging domain knowledge and expertise to understand industry processes, gaps, and challenges, converting that knowledge into effective and efficient solutions

Requirements for the position include:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or a similar position

  • Knowledge of Agile processes and principles, backlog management techniques (story writing, story mapping) and metrics (burn down metrics, velocity, lead time, cycle time).

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with deadlines requiring strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changes in tasks, projects, and organizational priorities

  • Demonstrable expertise of Project Management fundamentals.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English to fulfill their duties since our customer base is worldwide.

  • Good communicator both orally and in writing, possessing a strong ability for synthesis.

  • Ability to break down complex user needs into patterns and create a clear, organized path forward

  • Ability to work within a rapidly growing company, in an evolving context and requiring high autonomy

  • Demonstrate a commitment to continually improve, share lessons learned with others and encourage team development.

  • Willingness to stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management and AECO platforms

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders;

  • Time management and prioritization skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to gather and analyze requirements, identify dependencies, and make informed decisions

  • Must be comfortable challenging requirements and prioritization. Capacity to say no and influence when requests conflict with product strategy or other requirements.

Nice to have qualification for this position include:

  • Experience in the field of AECO or software development in SAAS mode (not mandatory, but will be considered an asset)
  • Proficiency with collaboration and analytics tools (e.g., Aha,Gainsight, Confluence, Azure Devops, etc.)
  • Experience with AI product development
