This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager, Cryptography Discovery in Canada.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a high-impact team responsible for developing innovative cryptography and non-human identity solutions. You will oversee the design and implementation of sensors, integration pipelines, and developer-facing SDKs while remaining hands-on with architecture and code. This role bridges technical leadership and strategic planning, ensuring seamless connectivity with enterprise security platforms and third-party systems. You will mentor engineers, shape engineering best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and extensible solutions. This position offers the opportunity to influence cutting-edge cybersecurity technology while advancing the career of a talented engineering team.

Accountabilities:

·         Lead and grow the sensors, third-party integrations, and SDK engineering team while remaining technically hands-on.

·         Define and execute roadmaps for sensor platforms, third-party integrations, and developer-facing SDKs.

·         Design APIs and developer tools, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise security systems.

·         Mentor and coach engineers on technical skills, career development, and best practices in testing and documentation.

·         Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and enterprise clients to align technical solutions with business needs.

·         Establish and maintain engineering standards around scalability, quality, and security.

·         Serve as a technical advocate for customers, ensuring successful adoption and integration of platform solutions.

Requirements

·         8+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on coding and technical leadership.

·         Proven track record in building and shipping production services in languages such as Kotlin, Golang, Rust, Python, C++, or Java.

·         Experience in developing streaming or real-time data processing systems (protocols, codecs, latency optimization).

·         Hands-on experience building SDKs, APIs, and enterprise integration solutions across multiple languages.

·         Strong understanding of enterprise authentication flows (OAuth, SAML), API security, and compliance requirements.

·         Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with technical contributions.

·         Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

·         Experience mentoring and managing engineering teams.
