We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Development Manager to lead the engineering team responsible for building the Bandwidth Manager , a critical component of the Teleast Lightspeed constellation’s SDN control plane . This role offers the opportunity to shape a cutting-edge solution that enables customers to schedule and manage bandwidth pools across specific geographic regions, ensuring compliance with service-level commitments and dynamically adjusting resources as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in the design, development, and delivery of the Bandwidth Manager.
- Drive integration of the Bandwidth Manager with key systems including OSS, orchestration platforms, telemetry frameworks, and BSS environments.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless interoperability and alignment with broader SDN architecture goals.
- Champion agile development practices, continuous improvement, and high-quality software delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and strategic direction to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of the solution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in software development ideally in the realm of SDN control planes.
- Proven expertise in Agile SAFe, software, and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of OSS/BSS systems, orchestration, and telemetry integration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- A team-first mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
