Social Worker - Family Violence & Relationship Wellness
About the role
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and individual, family and group counselling.

Conduct assessments, coordinate case management and connect clients with community supports (housing, legal, health, immigration, etc.).

Deliver accountability-focused interventions with male clients, including individuals who have used violence and those who are survivors.

Provide counselling and advocacy for youth exposed and impacted by IPV.
-
Respond to crisis and walk-in situations while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

Develop and facilitate IPV education and outreach to diverse community groups.
-
Build and maintain partnerships with service providers, schools, and faith-based organizations.
-
Contribute to a safe and respectful environment for clients, staff, and volunteers.

Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
-
MSW or BSW (or equivalent) with registration with OCSWSSW in good standing
-
Fluency of Russian, Hebrew and/or another language reflecting local community will be considered an asset.

Minimum 3 years clinical experience, preferably in IPV, family violence, or trauma work
-
Strong clinical skills in assessment, crisis response, and therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, MI, ACT, Family Therapy)
-
Experience with trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and accountability-oriented approaches
-
Knowledge of the Child, Youth & Family Services Act and relevant community resources
-
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
-
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
-
Knowledge and understanding of Jewish culture, traditions, and diverse identities is an asset
