RVA’s Sudbury office is looking for a Site Representative. This is a contract position
Duties
- Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications, ensuring alignment with approved designs, OPSS standards, and applicable local specifications.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of contract documents, drawings, project memorandums, meeting notes, and related project documentation.
- Monitor and document construction progress through daily and weekly logs, site reports, and field observations.
- Conduct site inspections to verify that work complies with contract requirements, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
- Communicate promptly with the Construction Administrator (CA) and Project Manager (PM) regarding non‑compliance issues, site concerns, or deviations from contract specifications.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and the public to support effective communication and address project-related inquiries.
- Organize, facilitate, and participate in project meetings to coordinate activities and maintain project alignment.
- Review, evaluate, and process contract extra work claims in accordance with project requirements.
- Prepare and process monthly progress estimates with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure safe work practices are maintained on site.
Qualifications
- Civil Tech diploma OR an undergraduate degree in Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Superior English communication skills both oral and written.
- 0-14 years of experience in a similar role, and related to linear projects including water mains, sewers, roads is a project requirement.
- Contract administrative experience is a strong asset.
- Must have a valid class G driver's license and his/her own vehicle for transportation between office and assigned work site.
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
Compensation Range The salary range for this position is: $30.77 - $43.60/hr
Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
