About Jays Care Foundation
Jays Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Toronto Blue Jays, is seeking to hire a seasonal intern with exceptional attention to detail for the contract period of March to September 2026 to support the planning and execution of various fundraising events. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with experience in corporate partnerships, donor relations, and project coordination, eager to contribute to Jays Care Foundation’s vision of a Canada where all youth—especially those facing systemic barriers—are empowered to thrive through connection, opportunity, and growth, using baseball as a core platform for engagement.
Responsibilities:
Events (75%)

Coordinate on-site fundraising initiatives at events, including:
- Developing auction and prize packages, including allocating prizes and memorabilia to events
- Working with online auction providers (ex. Givergy) to draft and publish auction listings
- Researching, procuring, and coordinating the execution of third-party auction packages from concept to delivery
- Be the point person to coordinate on-site set-up of all auction packages and prizes at events
- Coordinate the fulfillment of auction and raffle prizes post-event, including winner correspondence, shipping logistics, research profiles, and necessary internal communications.
- Organizing all Philanthropy Department inventory, including keeping up-to-date inventory records, counting items into inventory, and proper storage of all items

Assist with the coordination and execution fundraising events, including Jays Care Golf Classic, Broadcast Auction, Behind The Plate, Garage Sale, Third Party Initiatives. Responsibilities include:
- Organizing and reporting guest RSVPs
- Developing guest communications (e.g., pre-event emails, post-event surveys)
- Conducting background research on each guest
- Supporting the ideation, research, procurement and distribution logistics of all guest and sponsor gifting
- Assisting with vendor logistics (load-in/load-out)
- Creating post event surveys, coordinating the deployment in post event communications, and summarizing results

Support the development of individual and foundation donor cultivation and stewardship events

Monitor and manage the Jays Care Events general inbox, addressing, actioning, or escalating emails as needed

Provide copy-editing and review support for various event materials, including signage, programs, and prize descriptions

Play on-site role at all events
Database Management Support (25%)
-
Ensure relevant partnership, donor, and event records are up to date in CRM database (i.e., Salesforce)
-
Effectively utilise existing systems (i.e. Qualtrics) to track RSVPs and surveys
-
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
-
Completed University or College education preferred
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
-
Knowledge of Salesforce fundraising software an asset
-
Minimum 2 years event planning, fundraising, partnership experience from public and/or not-for profit sector

Experience coordinating and working with volunteers
-
Excellent English writing and oral communication skills
-
Excellent organizational skills required
-
Self starter and creativity are required characteristics
-
Must have ability to multi-task, be well organized and meet required deadlines

Commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
-
Strong problem-solving skills
-
Team player with an ability to support the big picture goals of the organization and contribute to day-to-day tasks

Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Understanding of and passion for the game of baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays
SALARY: The anticipated base compensation for this role is $20.00 per hour.
POSITION STATUS: New
WORK LOCATION: In-office, 40 hours per week; required to work at Rogers Centre five days a week.
