Join Our Team! The Mayflower Curling Club is one of Atlantic Canada's premier curling and event facilities. Our brand-new, state-of-the-art clubhouse is home to over 800 members and hosts curling leagues, provincial championships, corporate events, weddings, banquets, and community programming throughout the year. As our club continues to grow, we are seeking a highly organized, energetic, and customer-focused Operations & Events Coordinator to join our team. About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations & Events Coordinator plays a key role in the day-to-day administration and operation of the Club. This position supports membership services, financial administration, event coordination, facility bookings, and office operations while helping ensure an outstanding experience for members and rental clients. No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who is adaptable, organized, and enjoys balancing multiple priorities.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministration
Manage daily office operations and club correspondence Respond to member and client inquiries Maintain calendars, booking systems, and organizational records Support the General Manager with administrative projects Financial Administration Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Assist with payroll administration Complete bank deposits and reconciliations Maintain financial records Support monthly financial reporting Membership Services Coordinate membership registration and renewals Maintain the membership database Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests Assist with club communications Events & Facility Rentals Coordinate weddings, banquets, corporate events, bonspiels, and community rentals Prepare contracts, invoices, and event documentation Liaise with clients, caterers, vendors, and volunteers Assist with event setup, execution, and follow-up Qualifications We're looking for someone who brings: Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Experience in administration, event coordination, hospitality, or office management Bookkeeping or accounting experience (preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar is an asset) Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills A positive, collaborative, and professional attitude Experience working in recreation, sport organizations, hospitality, or non-profit environments would be considered an asset.

About Mayflower Curling Club
The Mayflower Curling Club was established in 1905 and was originally located on Agricola Street moving to Monaghan Drive in 1961. In 2025 the Mayflower opened at a new location in Timberlea, Nova Scotia. We now have eight sheets of the finest ice in the Maritimes. Our state of the art facility provides an excellent viewing area of our well lit, heated ice shed. Our upper floor event area and meeting room is open for rentals and events. We have on site food / catering and a fully stocked Pro Shop. Drop by and check us out anytime!
