The opportunity

We're looking for a senior full-stack engineer who builds the core product, and goes into the field to make sure it actually solves the problem.

LevelOps helps B2B manufacturers and distributors run smarter. We build process automation software for order-to-cash, turning the messy purchase orders our customers receive (PDFs, emails, spreadsheets) into clean, ready-to-fulfill orders. We also implement commerce platforms like Shopify and ERPs like Odoo for those same customers, and that field work shows us exactly what to build next. Most of your time is spent building the product; part of it is spent with customers, where the real requirements come from.

This is not a specialized role. You'll own problems from A to Z: build the software, ship it, and stay close enough to customers to know whether it's actually working. Some days that's designing an AI extraction pipeline or a new integration. Other days it's a workshop mapping a customer's order-to-cash process so you can build the thing that fixes it. It's the same instinct either way: find the real problem, then engineer your way out of it. This is a hands-on lead role, not a people-management one.

You will be our most senior engineer. There is no one above you on the technical side. You own the architecture and you set the bar. If you're a strong builder who is also comfortable in front of a customer, and you'd rather own an outcome than stay in one lane, this is for you.

What you'll do

Build the product (most of the job)

• Build, ship, and own software end to end, from AI extraction pipelines and integrations to the interfaces customers actually use.
• Own the technical direction: architecture, key build-versus-buy calls, code quality, and the reliability of what ships.
• Make our order-to-cash automation smarter and more reliable, including the feedback loop that lets customers correct and teach the model.
• Use AI coding tools daily to move faster, while reviewing what they produce critically and owning the quality of everything that ships.
• Be the technical point of reference for our developer, raising the bar through code review and clear standards.

Lead delivery

• Lead projects end to end, setting the plan, sequencing the work, and keeping delivery on track across concurrent efforts.
• Stand up live implementations on commerce platforms and ERPs like Shopify and Odoo: data migration, integrations, automation, go-live.

Go to the field (part of the job)

• Run discovery workshops with signed clients to understand their order-to-cash reality (orders, inventory, fulfillment, and the exceptions that break things) and translate it into what to build.
• Stay close to customers through deployment, see how the software performs in the wild, and turn what you learn back into the product, so every engagement compounds.

What you'll bring

• 5+ years building and shipping production software as a strong full-stack generalist, including time as a technical or project lead. Deep engineering craft is the core of this role.
• Strong integration and data skills: APIs, webhooks, cloud infrastructure, automation.
• Genuine AI fluency: hands-on with LLMs, prompting, and automation tools, and eager to push what they can do, both in the product and in your own workflow.
• Comfortable in front of a customer: you can run a workshop, map a process, and explain a tradeoff to a non-technical operator. You don't need to be a consultant, but you can hold your own in the room.
• Understanding of B2B operations (order-to-cash, inventory, fulfillment), or the ability to pick it up fast.
• Experience with commerce platforms like Shopify (at the API and integration level) preferred, and ERPs like Odoo.
• A founder's mindset: ownership, speed, and comfort switching context in a fast-moving environment.
• Based in Canada. Bilingual (French and English) is a strong plus given our Quebec customer base.

On cherche un ingénieur full-stack senior qui bâtit le cœur du produit, et qui va sur le terrain pour s'assurer qu'il règle vraiment le problème.

LevelOps aide les manufacturiers et distributeurs B2B à mieux opérer. On développe un logiciel d'automatisation des processus de la commande à l'encaissement (order-to-cash), qui transforme les bons de commande désordonnés que reçoivent nos clients (PDF, courriels, feuilles de calcul) en commandes propres et prêtes à traiter. On implante aussi des plateformes de commerce comme Shopify et des ERP comme Odoo pour ces mêmes clients, et ce travail sur le terrain nous montre exactement quoi bâtir ensuite. La majeure partie de ton temps, tu la passes à bâtir le produit ; une partie, tu la passes avec les clients, là où viennent les vraies exigences.

Ce n'est pas un poste spécialisé. Tu es responsable des problèmes de A à Z : tu bâtis le logiciel, tu le livres, et tu restes assez proche des clients pour savoir s'il fonctionne réellement. Certaines journées, ça ressemble à concevoir un pipeline d'extraction par IA ou une nouvelle intégration. D'autres, à un atelier pour cartographier le processus order-to-cash d'un client afin de bâtir ce qui va le régler. C'est le même instinct dans les deux cas : trouver le vrai problème, puis s'en sortir par l'ingénierie. C'est un poste de lead hands-on, pas de gestion de personnel.

Tu seras notre ingénieur le plus senior. Il n'y a personne au-dessus de toi côté technique. Tu es responsable de l'architecture et tu établis la barre. Si tu es un bâtisseur solide qui est aussi à l'aise devant un client, et que tu préfères être responsable d'un résultat plutôt que de rester dans une seule voie, ce poste est pour toi.

Ce que tu feras

Bâtir le produit (l'essentiel du poste)

• Bâtir, livrer et être responsable du logiciel de bout en bout, des pipelines d'extraction par IA et des intégrations jusqu'aux interfaces que les clients utilisent vraiment.
• Être responsable de la direction technique : architecture, décisions clés de build-versus-buy, qualité du code et fiabilité de ce qui est livré.
• Rendre notre automatisation order-to-cash plus intelligente et plus fiable, y compris la boucle de rétroaction qui permet aux clients de corriger et d'entraîner le modèle.
• Utiliser les outils de codage par IA au quotidien pour aller plus vite, tout en révisant leur output de façon critique et en étant responsable de la qualité de tout ce qui est livré.
• Être la référence technique pour notre développeur, en élevant la barre par la révision de code et des standards clairs.

Mener la livraison

• Mener les projets de bout en bout : établir le plan, séquencer le travail et garder la livraison sur les rails à travers plusieurs mandats simultanés.
• Mettre en place des implantations live sur des plateformes de commerce et des ERP comme Shopify et Odoo : migration de données, intégrations, automatisation, go-live.

Aller sur le terrain (une partie du poste)

• Animer des ateliers de découverte avec les clients signés pour comprendre leur réalité order-to-cash (commandes, inventaire, fulfillment, et les exceptions qui font tout casser) et la traduire en ce qu'il faut bâtir.
• Rester proche des clients pendant le déploiement, voir comment le logiciel performe sur le terrain, et ramener ces apprentissages dans le produit, pour que chaque mandat s'accumule.

Ce que tu apportes

• 5+ ans à bâtir et livrer du logiciel en production comme solide généraliste full-stack, incluant du temps comme lead technique ou de projet. La profondeur d'ingénierie est le cœur du poste.
• De fortes compétences en intégration et en données : API, webhooks, infrastructure infonuagique, automatisation.
• Une réelle aisance avec l'IA : hands-on avec les LLM, le prompting et les outils d'automatisation, et l'envie de pousser ce qu'ils peuvent faire, autant dans le produit que dans ton propre workflow.
• À l'aise devant un client : tu peux animer un atelier, cartographier un processus et expliquer un compromis à un opérateur non technique. Tu n'as pas besoin d'être un consultant, mais tu tiens ton bout dans la pièce.
• Une compréhension des opérations B2B (order-to-cash, inventaire, fulfillment), ou la capacité de l'assimiler rapidement.
• De l'expérience avec des plateformes de commerce comme Shopify (au niveau API et intégration), un atout, et des ERP comme Odoo.
• Un état d'esprit de fondateur : ownership, rapidité, et aisance à changer de contexte dans un environnement qui bouge vite.
• Basé au Canada. Le bilinguisme (français et anglais) est un fort atout vu notre clientèle québécoise.
