About the role
The Occupational Health Nurse (Registered Nurse) - Part-Time 0-24 hours/week operates out of Windsor Assembly Plant's First Aid stations and Occupational Health Clinic to treat occupational illnesses and injuries. He/she assesses patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, while working in collaboration with plant physicians, security, and operations to provide effective service to employees in a variety of situations.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Implementing and maintaining various programs and services that support the health and wellness of FCA employees
- Administering treatments according to established policies and protocols
- Assessing an employee's physical fitness for returning to work from absence due to illness/injury
- Providing emergency treatment when such situations arise
- Maintaining impeccable records and complete confidentiality with respect to patient information
- Immunize patients for select conditions (e.g. influenza) when such vaccines are offered
- Conducting employee health tests, including but not limited to physical exams, hearing tests, vision screening, and pulmonary function tests
- Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Legally eligible to work in Ontario as a Registered Nurse
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WSIB legislation, and Human Rights Legislation
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Electronic Medical Records
- Current First Aid, CPR and AED Certification for Healthcare Professionals
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all areas of responsibility
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high level of tact and diplomacy
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
