Role Description The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist will operate and maintain CNC machinery to produce high-precision components that meet LaFlesche’s quality and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up machines, selecting and installing appropriate tooling, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and adjusting machine parameters to ensure accurate production. The CNC Machinist will inspect finished parts, perform routine maintenance, document production activities, and collaborate with team members to optimize processes and reduce waste. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kahnawake, QC, working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams in a clean, safety-focused environment. The position contributes directly to LaFlesche’s sustainable manufacturing goals and high-performance product output.

Qualifications Strong machine operation skills, including setup, programming support, and safe operation of CNC equipment. Hands-on machining experience with CNC lathes and mills, including turning, drilling, and finishing processes. Proficiency in milling operations, including tool selection, feeds and speeds, and precision part fabrication. Experience with quality control practices such as using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and following inspection procedures. Knowledge of machinery maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure safe, reliable operation. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD-generated models. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Relevant vocational training, apprenticeship, or technical diploma in machining, manufacturing, or a related field. Experience in plastic injection or metal manufacturing, and familiarity with sustainable manufacturing practices, is an asset. Salary From $25 per hour to $50 per hour, depending on experience.
