About the role

Catholic Social Service's Gianna Centre program is currently looking for Social Media Assistant Volunteer.

The ideal candidate would be available to volunteer 3 hours per week for 6 months or more.

The social media volunteer works closely with the Gianna Centre Admin Assistant, Market Coordinator, and Manager to create engaging content for Gianna Centre’s social media presence.

What you can expect:

  • Communicate with Gianna staff to identify and schedule upcoming activities to be distributed and announced in social media
  • Evaluate which community organizations or members and social media accounts align with our mission, vision, and values to create a strategy that helps Gianna Centre to be recognized as a supportive and pro-life organization
  • Design flyers or communication material (announcements, news, prayers, thank yous) using free design software
  • Develop content and design for posts
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Gianna Centre staff
  • Use the Agency online volunteer platform (Volunteer Hub) for registration and report volunteer hours in a timely manner
  • Adhere to the Agency’s Volunteer Agreement and program policy in a positive and cooperative manner
  • Represent the Agency in a professional and ethical manner at all times while volunteering

  • Pro-life stance on unplanned pregnancy
  • Willingness to act in congruence to Catholic social teachings
  • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively and articulate well in writing and speech
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to receive feedback
  • Good understanding of confidentiality
  • Established interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and trustworthy character
