We’re looking for our next Manager, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM). Could It Be You?
The purpose of the Manager, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) is to be a primary contributor in maturing Community Trust Company’s (CTC’s) TPRM practices through the effective development, implementation and operationalization of its TPRM framework.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, TPRM, this role is responsible for contributing to the design, implementation, operationalization, and sustainment of CTC’s TPRM framework and for assisting in enterprise wide TPRM practices across the Questrade Financial Group (QFG) of companies.
The Manager, TPRM will play a pivotal role in supporting the 2nd Line of Defense in providing effective risk review and challenge of the 1st Line. The Manager will be responsible for developing third party risk management governance, processes and tools to support reporting on third party risk.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the development of the TPRM strategy, framework, policy, standards, processes and tools
- Review risk management activities performed in relation to CTC’s third party ecosystem
- Research how CTC can leverage industry leading platforms and tools to streamline onboarding and ongoing management of TPRM
- Ensure CTC is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements including OSFI B-10, E-21
- Support alignment of third party management methodologies and practices within operational risk
- Assist in the identification and preparation for emerging risks in relation to third parties
- Establish and maintain TPRM reporting to various CTC committees
- Manage the development of training and testing programs to provide assurance of resilience to key risks and threats
- Nurture productive working relationships with the 3 Lines of Defense for Risk Management
- Oversee the development and execution of scenario analysis testing for TPRM
- Support the development and implementation of the CTC’s operational resilience framework

- Have a university degree, preferably in a business, risk management or compliance discipline
- Have a minimum of 3 years of specialized TPRM experience and 2 years of experience in other risk disciplines e.g. Operational Risk, Business Continuity, Enterprise Risk
- Have experience in the financial services/fintech industry
- Have experience in a Third Party Risk or Resiliency function
- Have the ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Have the ability to provide effective review and challenge
- Are a proactive self-starter and have the ability to work independently
- Are comfortable in collaborating and running workshops with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Have strong communications skills both written and verbal
- Have an ability to see the big picture while being comfortable with day-to-day responsibilities
- Are proficient in the use of Google Workspace products (Docs, Slides, Forms and Sheets)
- Have working knowledge and experience with relevant areas of risk including IT & Cyber, Business Continuity, Financial, Privacy, and Compliance
- Have an understanding of procurement and vendor management principles
- Have a working knowledge of FI regulations (OSFI, CIRO, FCAC, etc.)
- Have sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing, and executing skills

- Have accreditation or designations in relevant risk field e.g. CRM, CIA
- Have vendor management and/or procurement experience
