Bilingual Credit Analyst (French/English)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Bilingual Credit Analyst fluent in both French and English to join our finance team. This high-volume, fast-paced role manages a large portfolio, reporting directly to the Credit Supervisor. You will handle collections, resolve billing issues, and reduce accounts receivable delinquency for our North American customer base.
Keys to Filling This Role
Industry Experience: Must come from a solid construction background. Technical Skill: Hands-on proficiency with SAP software. Education: Formal accounting education or a relevant degree.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Collections Management
Manage assigned portfolios using company credit policies. Reduce delinquency using weekly aging and Get Paid reports. Secure satisfactory payment commitments from past-due accounts. Negotiate payment options for high-risk credit customers. Stay in the rollover phone system for incoming inquiries.
Dispute Resolution & Reconciliation
Educate customers on credit terms and payment options. Reconcile accounts by resolving billing and payment discrepancies. Collaborate with internal departments to solve customer inquiries. Generate invoices, account statements, and supporting documents. Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation on all accounts.
Risk Assessment & Construction Compliance
Review and approve detailed Commercial Job Sheets. Apply deep knowledge of Mechanics Lien Laws. Navigate Quebec construction law and Letters of Privilege. Proactively review credit limits and release blocked orders. Analyze credit reports and financial statements for risk. Report weekly on delinquent accounts and active resolutions.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience. Construction background with firm knowledge of project credit cycles. Expertise in Mechanics Lien Laws and Quebec construction regulations. Willingness to accommodate occasional travel.
Language & Technical Skills
Bilingual fluency in both English and French (written and spoken). Core proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office suite. Experience utilizing Get Paid collection software.
Core Competencies
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle high-pressure demands and shifting priorities. Professional, courteous, and team-oriented customer service approach. Skill in building positive relationships with sales teams and clients.
