About the Role
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for completing adjusting journal entries and maintaining the balance sheet accounts for TEAM Group's Canadian and US entities. The ideal candidate is fluent in Finance and Accounting principles, possessing the capacity to perform common accounting reporting, auditing, and financial planning/advisory functions.

Compensation
- $75,000-$80,000/year
Responsibilities
- Prepare bank and other general ledger account reconciliations;
- Post standard monthly adjustments;
- Implement procedures for internal quarterly audits/reviews of balance sheet accounts and present to Finance Leadership;
- Post journal entries and coordinate with colleagues on journal entries documentation;
- Collaborate with auditors on year-end and prepare internal audit papers for review;
- Use intermediate Excel skills and Jonas software to prepare necessary billing documents efficiently and quickly;
- Provide monthly financial analysis reports to senior leadership including: balance sheet account reconciliations and other financial analysis;
- Provide financial planning and improvement initiatives to the Corporate division;
- Provide a variety of other support functions/reports as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Accounting and/or Financial Reporting experience;
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or a mid-level certification/diploma is required;
- A CPA designation is considered an asset;
- Advanced experience using Excel are required;
- Experience with Jonas is considered an asset;
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail;
- Must be a self-starter and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment;
- Demonstrated excellent written & verbal communication skills;
- Ability to commute to the Aurora, ON head Corporate office for work.
