Advisor, Stakeholder Engagement and Communications
About the role
Adecco is currently hiring an Advisor, Stakeholder Engagement and Communications for a full-time opportunity in the energy infrastructure sector. In this role, you'll play a key part in public and community engagement, as well as communications for major projects along the pipeline corridor. Based in either Burnaby, Kamloops, or Edmonton, this position reports to the Team Lead, External Relations and supports the delivery of high-impact engagement initiatives.
- Location: Burnaby, BC / Kamloops, BC / Edmonton, AB
- Job Type: Full-time, Contract
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends for events
- Travel: 10-25% (Burnaby) or 5-10% (Kamloops/Edmonton)

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement and communication initiatives for major projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and community expectations
- Act as the point of contact for key stakeholders, including local governments, community groups, and regulatory agencies
- Organize and deliver engagement activities (meetings, open houses, events-both in-person and virtual)
- Prepare and deliver communication materials, including presentations, digital content, and print collateral
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to support project objectives
- Monitor and respond to stakeholder inquiries and issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate records of engagement activities and contribute to reports
- Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging and objectives
- Support the Public Information Office during crises as required
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- University degree in Communications, Public Affairs, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, or public affairs
- Strong knowledge of community relations and regulatory environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with event planning and stakeholder outreach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms
Additional Information
- Attendance at events outside of standard business hours may be required
- Travel to project sites may be necessary, depending on location
