Position Summary: Reporting to the Senior Corporate Project Leader, the Project Intern will assist the Senior Corporate Project Leader (CPL) and CPLs in the planning and execution of restaurant construction and renovation projects. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in project coordination, documentation, and communication, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality restaurant build-outs. The intern will support various administrative tasks and gain insight into the full project lifecycle, from design to completion.

What You’ll Do:

  • Project Assistance: Support in overseeing restaurant construction, remodels, and upgrades, ensuring efficiency and timely completion.

  • Schedule Coordination: Assist in coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and teams to keep project timelines on track.

  • Vendor & Contractor Communication: Help facilitate communication, scheduling site visits, and meetings, and preparing contracts.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain project records and generate reports for senior management.

  • Permits & Approvals: Assist in submitting and tracking necessary permits for ongoing projects.

  • Budget Support: Help monitor project expenses and process invoices.

  • Problem-Solving Support: Contribute to resolving potential project issues and minimizing delays.

  • Quality Control: Assist in maintaining high standards for design, quality, and safety across all projects.

What You Bring:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Construction Management, Business, Project Management, Architecture, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and construction processes is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of local building codes and permitting processes is a bonus!
  • A valid G license and access to a vehicle will be considered an asset
