FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER

As the Food & Beverage Manager at Andaz, you are the driving force behind the hotel’s vibrant culinary identity — bringing to life memorable, locally inspired dining experiences that reflect the spirit of our community. With a passion for hospitality and a sharp eye for detail, you lead our F&B teams at the restaurant and banquets in delivering service that is intuitive, warm, and authentically Andaz. Your leadership ensures each outlet operates with excellence, creativity, and financial acumen, while fostering an environment where colleagues feel empowered and guests feel genuinely cared for.
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME IN THIS ROLE?
- Responsible for short- and long-term planning of staffing needs
- Ensure effective hiring, training, development, promotion and continuous reinforcement
- Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and colleague satisfaction results
- Support development and implementation of creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment at the outlets
- Plan, coordinate & manage special events and holiday functions
- Set and follow Health and Safety standards
- To ensure that the monthly forecasted food and beverage revenues are achieved and to proactively manage all costs
- To maximize colleague productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling in order to meet the financial goals of the outlet as well as the expectations of the guests
- To assist in the maintenance of the outlet point-of-sales system
- To ensure that all sales are properly recorded, following prescribed procedures for issuing, voiding or correcting outlet checks
- To oversee the proper use and security of floats and follow necessary procedures
- To assist in the inventory management and ongoing maintenance of hotel operating equipment and other assets, including establishing par stocks, equipment care and maintenance and inventory taking as required
- While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk; reach, pull, use hands or fingers; or feel objects, tools or controls; may need to lift boxes (up to 30 lbs)
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior role in food and beverage with proven leadership skills
- Hotel/Hospitality degree is an asset
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
- Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English - Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
