##Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Communications Manager with a strong journalism foundation, someone who is energized by telling the story of Finning Canada. In this role, you’ll shape and deliver integrated communications that advance business priorities, strengthen alignment, and keep employees connected from the frontline to the executive team. You bring a bias toward action, sharp editorial judgment, and the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling, plain-language communications across multiple channels

##What you’ll do
- Lead the development and execution of integrated internal, external, and issues/crisis communications strategies that support Finning Canada’s business priorities.
- Build strong, trusted relationships across the organization – listening first, partnering closely with frontline teams and leaders, and advising executives with confidence and discretion.
- Elevate leadership messaging and deliver communications that are clear, timely, and action oriented.
- Find, report, and craft compelling stories that showcase our people, customers, and impact and then publish them across multiple platforms and channels.
- Lead and develop a high-performing communications team, setting priorities, coaching talent, and driving high standards for quality and follow-through.
- Collaborate with global communications partners to share best practices and align approaches across regions.

- Strategic insight and calm, steady judgment in complex or sensitivesituations.
##Education & experience
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in journalism or communications, ideally spanning multiple subject areas, including but not limited to internal communications, external communications, business reporting, marketing, crisis communications or change management.
- Minimum of four years of experience in working directly with senior leaders in a large organization developing and implementing communications strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, business or a related field; a specialized diploma in communications or journalism combined with relevant experience; or equivalent experience.
- Available for some travel
Reporting & organizational structure
- Reports to: VP, Sustainability and Leadership Development
- Direct reports: Five direct reports
