Main job objective - Mission:

The Building and Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable working environment. This role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to facility?related issues across the site.

Main responsibilities and Key Result Areas:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, compressors, etc.).

• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and infrastructure issues.

• Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards, wear, or malfunction.

• Maintain building interior and exterior, including minor carpentry, painting, and general repairs.

• Support production and office areas by responding quickly to maintenance requests.

• Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are required.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Professional qualifications and knowledge:

• 3?5 years of experience in building maintenance or industrial facilities.

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and basic electrical systems.

• Experience with tools, machinery, and safety procedures.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Competencies and personal skills:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working in environments with noise, dust, or temperature variations.

Other requirements or special comments:

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

• Ability to respond to emergencies or after?hours calls when required.

• Basic computer skills for maintenance logging.
