Amico Corporation is a leading manufacturer of Medical Equipment with 8 manufacturing facilities employing over 750 people across North America. We are currently looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join our growing team.
What you will do as a Shipping Coordinator:

Determine best method of shipment and prepare shipping documents.

Source new shipping companies, negotiate pricing and delivery times.

Continuous improvement of packing methods to ensure product arrives to destination without damage.

Coordinate with the Production and Shipping Team to schedule daily deliveries and customer pick- ups.

Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.

Resolve carrier issues and respond quickly to customer delivery expectations.

Maintain internal record-keeping systems.
-
React quickly to changing circumstances to ensure delivery to customers involving all key internal and external contacts.

Participate as a key player in supporting operations as needed.

- Educational background in supply chain management or operations management studies is an asset.
- At least 3-5 years of Shipping or related experience is must.
- Knowledge of customs/FDA and international shipping is required.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and be self-motivated.
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask, able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient computer and math skills and ability to learn new software.
