Position Summary:

We’re looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role focuses primarily on food preparation to support smooth kitchen operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow in the culinary field.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards (chopping, portioning, measuring, labeling)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized prep station
• Assist chef and cooks with daily prep lists and kitchen tasks
• Properly store food items and rotate stock following food safety guidelines
• Support dishwashing as needed, including cleaning pots, pans, and utensils
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Support the kitchen team with various tasks as needed.
• Follow health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with local and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Handling Certificate.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work in different areas of the kitchen as needed.
• Ability to occasionally lift items as heavy as 50 lbs.
