Onsite work location
Located at**10 Pemberton Ave, North Vancouver****,**this full-time position offers a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule, ensuring 40 hours per week with no weekend shifts.
Why this role matters
TheVendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Material Handleris responsible for shipping, receiving, and moving products safely and efficiently while maintaining an organized and tidy stock environment. They provide support to the customer and sales staff regarding the product, order quantity, availability, and location of stock. The Vendor Managed Inventory Material Handler will become familiar with our customer’s organization, product needs, processes, and procedures. They will analyze historical sales data and gain knowledge to forecast daily inventory needs. This is a unique and new role where you will be working alongside our valued customer, who is known for coastal marine transportation, ship docking/ship escort, ship repair, and shipbuilding services in Western North America.
What to expect in the role
VMI Site Support
- Maintain clean, orderly, and accurate VMI shelving.
- Count product, manage minimum/maximum levels, and complete cycle counts.
- Enter purchase or transfer order receipts as required.
- Assist with Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Support the implementation and integration of VMI programs with branch teams.
Branch Operations Support
- Assist with receiving, bin maintenance, product put-away, and processing returns or defective goods.
- Support cycle counting and reconciliation to maintain accurate branch and VMI inventory records.
- Enter VMI replenishment orders and verify accuracy prior to submission.
- Complete product and pricing updates in P21 for VMI and branch inventory.
- Maintain required compliance documentation and support internal audits or customer reporting requests.
Customer & Sales Support
- Provide excellent customer service in person and by phone.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Enter and process customer orders accurately for invoicing.
Quality & Compliance
- Identify and document quality concerns through the nonconformance process.
- Support corrective actions and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ideal candidate profile
- 3–5 years of warehouse and/or customer service experience
- Organized, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
- Strong computer skills (MS Office; able to learn new systems)
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- VMI, RF scanning, and WMS experience is an asset
- Valid driver's license & Reliable transportation is required
- Accurate data entry and basic math skills
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Able to meet background/security requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
