We're looking for an candidate that is passionate about optimizing processes, ensuring safety, and driving quality. If you have a strong background in systems engineering, process optimization to support daily operations, and committed to continuous improvement, this role is for you.
What You Get To Do:
- Enforce policies, procedures, SOPs, and health and safety policies, foster communication, and motivate staff for continuous improvement and accountability.
- Understand and enforce health and safety policies, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment, report hazards and incidents, and set a good example for safety practices.
- Support internal training programs, maintain training records, close competency gaps, and audit on-floor training.
- Fine-tune compound formula and process parameters, troubleshoot equipment, identify areas for process improvement, develop and maintain SOPs.
- Support production and maintenance, monitor and reduce scrap levels, maximize efficiency and safety, and document bill of materials (BOM) information.
- Provide engineering support, resolve quality issues, determine improvement parameters, conduct root cause analysis, review products for quality and conformance.
- Collect and test retained samples, inspect production output, develop quality standards, identify improvement opportunities, provide technical support, and assist in R&D testing.
- Review products, verify quality, manage waste, and strive to improve scrap rates.
- Maintain cleanliness, follow housekeeping duties, and support the 5S program.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Engineering university degree, preferably Mechanical or Chemical
- Pursuing Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment
- Exceptional process aptitude (i.e. understanding of cause and effect of various process parameters such as temperature, pressure, formulation etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Educational background or certifications in Operations Management, Engineering, or related fields.
- Willingness to work or be on call during evenings and weekends as needed.
