About The Role As a Production Control Lead you will coordinate and monitor the flow of materials and production activities to ensure on‑time delivery, resource use, and alignment with customer demand. You will be the operational link between manufacturing, planning, procurement, and logistics, driving daily execution while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and be located at Peterborough, Ontario. This position will be offered as an onsite role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily, weekly, and long‑range production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Adjust production plans in response to equipment downtime, shortages, or priority changes.
  • Monitor material flow from receiving through production to final shipment.
  • Coordinate with procurement and planners to resolve material shortages and prevent production delays.
  • Lead daily production meetings, reviewing schedules, constraints, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain ERP/MRP system accuracy by ensuring correct data entry.
  • Provide direction and mentorship to production control coordinators or clerks (if applicable).
  • Be primary contact between planning, operations, and quality for scheduling and material flow.
  • Communicate across all levels of the organisation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in production control, manufacturing planning, or operations.
  • College Diploma or higher
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, material flow, and capacity planning.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $93,200 to $116,500 per year.
