The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador .

This is a permanent position, on Monday to Friday schedule, working a hybrid between the St. John’s office and a home office.

As a Business Analyst, you support the alignment of technology with business needs across production, maintenance, and technical services. This role emphasizes collaboration, analysis, and execution to ensure IT delivers value to Sudbury operations. Your experience and skills will contribute to digital initiatives, assist in process improvements, and help integrate IT/OT systems to enhance operational effectiveness.

Additionally, in this position you will:

• Operational Support : Assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT/OT systems such as ERP, MES, PIMS, LIMS, Controls, and Automation.
• Initiative Tracking : Monitor IT/OT projects to ensure alignment with business goals and report on progress and outcomes.
• Budget Coordination : Support OPEX/CAPEX tracking and provide input for planning activities.
• IT/OT Collaboration : Facilitate communication between IT/OT teams and operations to ensure smooth integration and understanding of business processes.
• Governance & Risk Awareness : Help document compliance with IT/OT governance frameworks and assist in identifying and reporting risks.
• Digital Enablement : Participate in technology rollouts and training to promote adoption and usage across teams.
• Process Documentation : Contribute to mapping and refining business processes that interact with IT/OT systems.
• Stakeholder Support : Maintain regular contact with operational teams to gather requirements, understand challenges, and provide analytical insights.

About You Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related fields.

Experience

• 8-10 years experience in mining and/or processing plant operations

Skills:

• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Power BI.
• Deep understanding of mining and metals industry operations.
• Project management experience.
• Ability to influence strategic decisions and engage with stakeholders.
• Experience with SAP Fiori and S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in Lean or problem-solving methods.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
