Role Description This full-time General Lines Sales role is based in Stony Plain, AB. The General Lines Sales professional will identify and pursue sales opportunities for Heavy Equipment including: Construction, Forestry and Mining Equipment. Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. Day-to-day tasks include responding to inquiries, preparing quotes, following up on leads, and coordinating with the service and parts teams to ensure timely delivery and support. The role also involves maintaining accurate sales records, monitoring market trends, and contributing to promotional activities. Regular visits to customer sites and the dealership facility are expected to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.

Qualifications

Sales and customer relationship skills, including prospecting, account management, and consultative selling. Communication and interpersonal abilities for engaging with customers, teammates, and vendors in a clear, professional manner. Basic technical understanding of trucks, trailers, construction, or forestry equipment, or a strong willingness to learn. Organizational and time management skills for handling multiple leads, follow-ups, and documentation efficiently. Comfort with digital tools and CRM or sales tracking systems to manage customer information and reporting. Prior experience in heavy equipment, or industrial sales is an asset. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to customer sites as needed. High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is beneficial.
