Crew Member – Property Care

As a Crew Member – Property Care, you’ll help maintain and enhance primarily high-end residential properties, along with select commercial sites, through detailed horticultural care and professional garden services. This role is hands-on, outdoors, and ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working with plants, and delivering consistent, high-quality results.
This is outdoor, detail-driven work — done alongside a high-performing team that values professionalism, precision, and growth.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Property Care Execution
- Complete all work according to Hutten standards for aesthetics, function, and professionalism
- Perform edging, spring cleanup, mulching, and seasonal garden preparation
- Provide ongoing garden management including weeding, plant care, and soil management
- Perform fall cleanup, turf care, and winterization
- Conduct pruning, transplanting, fertilizing, and pest management
- Install seasonal colour and container plantings
- Assist with irrigation and lighting maintenance services
- Read and interpret landscape designs and specifications
Quality & Professionalism
- Complete property inspections and quality assessments
- Communicate professionally with customers, delivering service according to “the Hutten Way”
- Assist the Crew Leader with site consultations and collaboration as required
- Successfully resolve warranty-related service work
Equipment & Site Care

Operate compact equipment, chainsaws, blowers, trimmers, pruners, horticultural tools, and hand equipment safely

Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks, trailers, equipment, and job sites

Perform daily preventative maintenance on tools and equipment

The Seasonality
Property Care operates throughout the growing season, typically from spring through late fall. During slower periods, there may be opportunities to contribute to other departments depending on workload and company needs.
