Our WINNIPEG BRANCH has an exciting opportunity for a EQUIPMENT SALES REPRESENTATIVE to join our team! What You Will Do: The Equipment Sales Rep.'s primary role is to lead the sale, transaction and warranty for all heavy machinery, construction or industrial products, including plows, lift gates, mixers, hoists, cranes, etc. You will work with your team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:
- Identify new sales opportunities, generate leads through networking and referrals by proactively cold calling, finding new leads, and expanding the customer base.
- Be the in-house expert with strong presentation and demo skills, with the ability to describe FGI products' benefits, uses and features, along with attending trade shows and events
- Work closely with various FGI departments to ensure full-cycle customer satisfaction, including follow-up with purchases to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare sales reports and forecast future sales trends
- Process sales transactions, negotiations, maintain accurate sales records, and follow FGI financing policy
- Maintain reliable schedule adherence and punctuality
- Follow all FGI core values, policies, procedures, and service standards
- Other duties as assigned (must be in each ad)
What We Require:
- Must have a proven track record of sales success in the equipment industry (heavy machinery, construction or industrial), including but not limited to plows, lift gates, mixers, hoists, and cranes
- Current knowledge of and experience with relevant equipment and industry trends
- A clear driver’s abstract is required at hire, demonstrating no major infractions and minimal minor infractions, as defined by Company standards is required
- Proficiency in computer systems and standard office software
- Experience using a CRM Program is preferred but not required
- Ability to travel to meet with customers and attend industry events as needed
- Able to meet the environmental/physical requirements for the role, including frequent sitting, standing, walking, both outside and inside the branch and customer sites, reaching, and climbing on decks.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal and presentation
- Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
