Position Title: High School Math Teacher

As a key division of the Society, Regent Christian Online Academy (RCOA) specializes in partnering with home-learning families to provide a flexible, high-quality K-12 education. We bring the RCAS mission to life as a Provincial Online Learning School, offering innovative onsite and virtual programming across British Columbia. At RCOA, we are dedicated to providing a personalized educational journey that inspires lifelong learning and fosters spiritual growth in every student.
Reports to: Vice Principal
Overview: The High School Math Teacher at RCOA is responsible for delivering high-quality, personalized math instruction to students in grades 9–12 within a flexible online learning environment. This role involves supporting home-learning families, facilitating virtual or occasional onsite programming, and mentoring students both academically and spiritually as they navigate graduation pathways
Key Responsibilities / Core Competencies
Design, assess, and deliver BC Ministry of Education-aligned math curricula for grades 9–12 (including Workplace, Foundations, and Pre-Calculus streams). Provide timely, constructive feedback on student assignments and maintain accurate records via the online learning management system. Collaborate with home-learning parents to personalize educational pathways for individual student success. Integrate a biblical worldview seamlessly into mathematical concepts and daily student interactions.

Job Status: Virtual or Remote
Job Type: Part-time (Mondays and Wednesdays)
FTE: 0.6

Compensation & Benefits
Pay: CA $ 49,721 - 83,390 annually (Full-Time Equivalent; based on experience and the salary scale and to be pro-rated to 0.6 FTE). Benefits: Extended Health & Dental, Pension plan available upon eligibility.

Requirements And Qualifications
Valid British Columbia Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one). Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with a major or minor in Mathematics, or equivalent specialized experience teaching high school math (Grades 9–12). Demonstrated experience or strong familiarity with online teaching tools and learning management systems. Active membership in a Christian church community and full alignment with the RCAS Statement of Faith.
