Your Role at Cabot
Cabot has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouseperson to work in our Sarnia Carbon Black Manufacturing Facility. Cabot is a leading player in the carbon black industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and sustainable solutions. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouseperson to join our dynamic team.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Primary Responsibilities: Prepare and pack customer orders by operating warehouse equipment to load product in various sizes of packaging materials including industrial bulk containers, hopper trucks and railcars.
- Operate Equipment: Operate a forklift to transport materials and goods within the warehouse, plant and loading of trailers. Training provided to operate shunt truck and track mobile to move hopper trucks and railcars within the facility for loading and weighing.
- Quality Assurance: Collect final product samples for Quality Control Testing.
- Safety and Environmental Compliance: Work in a safe manner and support SH&E programs. Ensure co-workers, internal and external, use appropriate PPE. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability goals. Supports the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to address WPS equipment and systems issues and concerns, training needs and improvements. Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and contractors as necessary.
What You Will Bring to Cabot
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment. Leadership skills to provide guidance and instructions to others.
- Ability to interpret operating instructions; written, verbal and listening communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to wear safety harness, work at heights, climb stairs, bend, and work in inclement weather.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate, trouble shoot and assist in maintaining WPS equipment.
- Forklift and/or AZ License an asset.
- Ability to operate forklift and other warehouse equipment including floor sweeper, shunt truck and track mobile (training provided for all).
- Minimum Grade 12 graduate
- Minimum two to three years of related experience in an appropriate manufacturing environment.
