As the Team Lead, Creative Services, you’ll lead a talented team of creative professionals and collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners to bring the BC Ferries brand to life through thoughtful, innovative design. You’ll support the evolution of our brand while helping shape and evolve how we visually connect with our customers and communities. From concept to completion, you’ll oversee the creation of impactful brand assets that reflect the essence of the coast — authentic, dynamic, and uniquely BC.

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Brand Strategy & Creative Services, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:
- Leading the creative team’s operations, ensuring smooth workflow, clear prioritization, and efficient execution of projects
- Leading the development of compelling visual concepts and contributing to the creative process as a hands-on designer
- Overseeing creative projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Acting as the primary point of contact for the creative team and external agencies, managing communications, expectations, and feedback
- Providing leadership and mentorship to creative team members, supporting their growth and development
- Collaborating with internal departments to assess design needs and deliver effective creative solutions
- Working closely with the Brand team to ensure all creative output meets brand standards and reflects the organization’s visual identity
- Managing brand assets, including the style guide, image bank, iconography, and other visual resources
- Continuously evaluating and refining creative processes to optimize team performance
- Overseeing the production and delivery of creative materials across various platforms and formats
What you bring to the team
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5+ years managing a creative team
- 5–8+ years of design experience (portfolio required)
- 3–4+ years agency experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management tools
- Deep understanding of graphic design, content creation, and video production processes.
- Exceptional organizational skills, proven experience completing projects as per scope in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively across audiences
- A collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on driving results through teamwork

Additional information
The target salary range is $98,500 - $123,100 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
