Overview
Our hotel is looking for an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, bar and lounge, and in-room dining services, while also assisting with banquet and event operations as needed.
The Restaurant Supervisor will help ensure exceptional guest service, smooth daily operations, and consistent food and beverage service standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations, guest service, and team leadership. This role will support staff training, shift supervision, guest recovery, inventory control, and a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
Restaurant and F&B Operations:
- Assist in supervising daily restaurant, bar, lounge, and in-room dining operations.
- Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
- Assist with staff scheduling, timekeeping, and inventory controls.
- Supervise daily shifts and provide on-the-floor leadership.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and address service concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with Kitchen, Sales, and Management teams to maintain service quality.
- Support training and coaching of Food & Beverage team members.
- Enforce cleanliness, safety, health, and service standards.
- Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
- Support cash handling, POS procedures, and daily operational follow-up as required.
Banquet and Events Support:
- Assist with banquet setups, events, and service execution as operationally required.
- Maintain strong guest relations and support service excellence during functions.
- Assist with assigning setup and service tasks to banquet staff.
- Coordinate with the kitchen to help ensure smooth food service during functions.
- Support training of new banquet employees on setup and service procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with event billing and POS processes as required.
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Kitchen, Event Coordinators, and the Food & Beverage team when needed.
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of experience supporting restaurant, food and beverage, or banquet operations.
- Strong understanding of F&B service standards and guest service expectations.
- Experience providing team leadership, training, and on-the-floor support.
- Knowledge of POS systems, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Flexible, hands-on, and passionate about creating a great guest experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Experience in a hotel, resort, or upscale restaurant environment is considered an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
Experience:
Restaurant or Food & Beverage: 2 years required Supervisory experience: 1 year preferred Restaurant or Banquet experience: 2 years preferred
Licence/Certification:
Serving It Right certificate required Food Safe certificate considered an asset
