POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Data & Analytics leads the development and implementation of data strategies and solutions to support informed decision-making across the organization. This role oversees data governance, analytics initiatives, data quality, and reporting frameworks to ensure high-quality, actionable insights. By aligning data capabilities with organizational goals, the manager enables evidence-based planning and continuous improvement in clinical and operational performance.

DUTIES:

Strategic Leadership & Team Oversight

  • Lead the development of data strategies and performance objectives.
  • Establish and promote data governance standards, best practice and analytical methodologies across the team and organization to ensure consistency, reliability, and quality of insights.

People Management & Development

  • Build and sustain a high-performing, collaborative analytics team through effective leadership, coaching, and mentorship. Conduct performance reviews, coach team members, manage recruitment, and address individual employee concerns to foster a high-performing team culture that values learning and continuous improvement.

Project Execution & Results Delivery

  • Define and implement processes, methodologies, and reporting solutions. Lead project planning, stakeholder engagement, issue resolution, and ensure data quality, privacy, and security

Policy & Knowledge Management

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and policies. Promote knowledge sharing and oversee the creation of documentation, presentations, reports, manuscripts, and dashboards, for diverse audiences, including leadership and clinical teams.

Continuous Learning & Skill Advancement

  • Guide the team in developing expertise in data interpretation and repository usage. Encourage ongoing professional and technical development to support innovation and improvement to enhance data capabilities and drive organizational improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, Statistics, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in data analytics, data governance, or business intelligence, preferably within a healthcare or research environment.
  • 7–10 years of experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming, managing, and analyzing data using SAS, SQL, STATA, and other analytical languages such as R and Python.
  • Strong capability in advanced report development using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and EPIC reporting systems.
  • Effective and efficient use of Office 365 applications, including MS Teams, for communication, collaboration, and documentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members to build organizational capacity in data analytics.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge to support the effective use of health administrative and clinical data.
  • Advanced understanding of data modelling, including database development and designing methodologies that support analytics and reporting functions.
  • Solid knowledge of healthcare coding systems, such as ICD‑10 and CCI.
  • Strong foundation in epidemiologic and statistical methodologies to enable evidence‑based decision‑making.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple initiatives within tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across clinical, operational, and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in data governance, data quality management, and maintaining compliance with privacy and security standards (e.g., PHIPA).
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and fostering a data‑driven culture.
  • English level A- is mandatory in oral comprehension, expression, reading and writing. Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.

Salary Range:

$65.08 to $75.44 per hour
