Store Associate
A Part-Time Seasonal Läderach Store Associate is a brand ambassador, passionate about providing a wonderful shopping experience for Läderach customers. The ideal Store Associate is a chocolate-lover with vibrant energy and a welcoming personality who enjoys a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sales. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
What you can expect
- Delivering an outstanding customer experience, as well as a similar environment for the inhouse team
- Providing training and/or helping Store Associates to always ensure that production goals are met, including product-finishing projects
- Executing product sales and register duties, including shop and shelf care, gift packaging and in-shop order fulfillment
- Targeting the store sales goals through helpful recommendations
- Helping to achieve in-store compliance and loss prevention standards
- Following merchandising and food safety protocols
- Supporting store managers with visual merchandising set up and other store-related projects
What we expect from you

At least 1 year of experience in retail sales or similar fast-paced, customer-minded environment, with increasing levels of responsibility

Equipped with strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively

Reliable and flexible with scheduling based on store needs

Quality-minded with keen attention to detail

Passionate about chocolate
Physical Requirements:

Depending on the length of the shift, employees may need to have physical stamina to remain active and stand for long hours, often walking or standing in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires the ability to move quickly between tasks, assist multiple customers at once, or handle unexpected changes (like restocking or re-organizing displays).
-
Multitasking requires physical agility and the ability to stay organized.
-
Employees may be required to bend, squat, or reach up high to organize or stock products.
-
Some retail positions require employees to maintain cleanliness in the store, which can involve bending down to clean floors or wiping down displays.
-
Restocking low shelves or accessing high displays may involve frequent bending or stretching.
-
Requires the ability to lift 15-40 pounds.

Läderach is a Swiss chocolate factory that is internationally renowned for its high-quality fresh chocolate. In addition to the famous FrischSchoggi, its product range includes fine pralines and truffles, Italian tartufi and a host of other creations. Over the past 60 years, Läderach has repeatedly introduced impressive new chocolate ideas and revolutionized the market with innovations, such as the production of thin-walled hollow truffle shells. Its other innovations included the open sale of FrischSchoggi in its branded chocolateries, along with the innovative development of Mini Mousse. What’s more, it also introduced vegan chocolate. Elias Läderach confirmed his groundbreaking role at the World Chocolate Masters in 2018, when he showcased the company's exceptional chocolate expertise with his impressive victory. The family company was founded in Ennenda (Canton Glarus) in 1962. It has been run by brothers Johannes, Elias and David Läderach, the third generation of the Läderach family, since 2021. Läderach is one of the leading names in the Swiss chocolate industry and still has its production facilities exclusively in Glarus.
