Reports To:        Director, Human Resources

Location:           Calgary, McTavish Office

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week

Term: Approximately 15 months

The big picture:

As a Dayforce HRIS Analyst in our Human Resources Department, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing our Human Resources Information System (Dayforce) to support our growing company. You will act as the technical expert for our HR and payroll systems, ensuring data integrity, compliance, reporting accuracy, and seamless integrations across departments.

In this role you will:

  • Administer and maintain our HRIS, including system configuration, updates, enhancements, and user access
  • Serve as the Dayforce subject matter expert, supporting Core HR, Payroll & Benefits, Workforce Management, Reporting, Onboarding, Recruiting, and Learning modules
  • Lead system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and deployments with minimal operational disruption
  • Troubleshoot and resolve HRIS-related issues
  • Conduct regular data audits to ensure data integrity, compliance, and accuracy
  • Develop and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports to support HR, Payroll, Finance, and leadership decision-making
  • Automate reporting processes and improve data accessibility for stakeholders
  • Maintain user security roles, permissions, and system governance standards
  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, accounting, IT, and third-party vendors to ensure successful system integrations and data transfers
  • Identify opportunities for system optimization and continuous process improvement
  • Support payroll-related initiatives to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and service quality
  • Develop training materials and provide ongoing support to department members and system users
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of HRIS processes, workflows, and configurations

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Dayforce HRIS-focused role
  • Proven working knowledge and hands-on configuration experience with Dayforce
  • Strong understanding of HR processes including payroll, onboarding, performance management, and compliance
  • Experience with HR system integrations, workflows, and data reporting
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience supporting payroll processing or payroll-related system functions
  • Experience participating in HRIS implementations or acquisitions
  • Aviation industry experience
  • HR generalist or payroll processing experience
