Job Description The Temporary Part Time Childhood Educator (ECE) helps create a safe, warm, inviting, and nurturing environment where young children can develop, grow, and learn in a way that best supports their individual needs. Needs be willing to work with all ages.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all health and safety requirements with their room in accordance with Fraser Health licensing regulations
- Observe children in their surroundings and assesses individual and group needs and complete child progress reports
- Check toys and equipment for safety hazards and appropriate functioning
- Supervise indoor and outdoor play as required
- Promote an environment that celebrates the diversity of families, children and their individual learning and care needs
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Be physically active and responsive to children's physical needs. Be able to Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Qualifications
- Valid ECE and or IT/SN License to Practice in B.C.
- Current emergency First Aid and CPR Certificates Pass a criminal record check
- 1-2 years working in a ECE/IT role
