About the role
*JOB DESCRIPTION: *
· Provide superior guest service, assist guests with check-in and check-out and handle all guest account transactions.
· Answer telephone calls in a clear, friendly manner and assist callers over the telephone.
· Reservation duties range from assisting callers with booking reservations, maintaining Hotel room rates and maximizing Hotel revenues.
· Provide information on hotel facilities, services and the surrounding areas.
· Address guest concerns and issues.
· Complete daily check list and other assigned duties and tasks.
· Maintain float and complete shift audits.
· Follow emergency and safety procedures.
*JOB REQUIREMENTS: *
· Hospitality standards must be used at all times; eye contact, smile, speak first to guests, engage in polite conversation and use the guest surname.
· Must possess superior customer relation skills and the ability to set a positive example of service and integrity at all times.
· A spontaneous desire to delight and provide excellent guest service is essential
· Must be friendly, outgoing and demonstrate positive behaviours.
· Must be approachable and a team player.
· Self-motivated and able to work productively with minimal supervision.
· Must be capable of researching and resolving numerical problems in addition to maintaining accurate cash transaction records.
· Excellent personal presentation.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to stand for long periods of time.
· Continuous use of a computer.
· Must have a great deal of energy and enthusiasm.
EXPEREINCE and SKILLS:
· One to two years experience in a customer service role dealing with the public. Hospitality experience would be considered an asset
· Proficiency in Stay in Touch or other PMS an asset.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Grade 12 (or equivalency) required
· Post secondary education in hospitality or other related field an asset
WORK SCHEDULE: Shifts will vary
Must be available to work days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: $19.93 per hour
