About the role
Job Description Reporting to the Shift Lead, the AME-M is a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer responsible for performing line and heavy maintenance on multiple aircraft types, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Transport Canada regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft systems including hydraulics, engines, flight controls, landing gear, pneumatics, fuel, and electrical systems.
- Conduct preflight, postflight, and daily inspections, perform system and engine functional checks, and clear logbook discrepancies.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical documents to determine repair methods and ensure airworthiness compliance.
- Inspect and assess aircraft components and structures per maintenance programs, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins.
- Replace or repair defective parts, perform cable tension adjustments, and complete operational tests on systems and engines.
- Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and submitted for certification as required.
- Apply safe work practices at all times and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Mentor and support apprentices by sharing technical knowledge and promoting professional standards.
- Comply with company tool control, quality assurance, and health and safety procedures.
Skills And Qualifications
- Valid Transport Canada AME-M license.
- 0-2+ years of experience in aircraft line or heavy maintenance.
- Ground Operating (AVOP) and Radio Operator licenses.
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to obtain aircraft type endorsements and additional company training.
- Physically fit and flexible to work various shifts.
