THE ROLE Our client in Milton is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to provide immediate support with year-end preparation and data conversion between dispatching software systems. This role requires strong QuickBooks Online experience, with QuickBooks Desktop being an asset. You will be responsible for reconciliations, data entry, and assisting with costing information to ensure a smooth transition.
This is a temporary position expected to last a minimum of two weeks, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs. It’s a great opportunity for someone with accounting or bookkeeping experience who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and hitting the ground running.
ADVANTAGES

- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM schedule

- Gain hands-on experience in both accounting and software transition projects
Responsibilities
- Perform credit card and bank account reconciliations in QuickBooks Online
- Enter costing information into the dispatching software to support system switchover
- Prepare and reconcile asset and liability summaries
- Assist with inventory costing and ensure accurate data entry
- Process accounts payable (A/P) entries through dispatching software
- Support general bookkeeping tasks related to year-end preparation
- Utilize Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) to support reporting and documentation
Requirements
- 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required; knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop is an asset
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience with reconciliations, data entry, and costing
- Ability to start immediately and commit to at least two weeks, with flexibility for extension
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
