Your Opportunity

The Manager, Community Safety is responsible for leading initiatives that promote a safe, respectful, and supportive campus environment. Reporting to the Dean of Students this role is responsible for monitoring developments in campus and student safety, including best practices, legislation, and emerging trends, and ensuring institutional programs, services, policies, and procedures remain current and aligned with leading practices across the post-secondary sector. This person implements community safety programs, identifies potential risks, responds to incidents, and conducts investigations related to student conduct, safety concerns, and policy violations. The Manager provides guidance on case management, ensures compliance with university policies and legislative requirements, and works collaboratively with campus partners and external agencies to address safety issues. Acting as a key resource for students and employees, the Manager balances proactive safety planning with responsive support and investigative processes to provide guidance on matters that have institutional implications and enhance the overall campus experience.
