As the first point of contact, Concierge plays a valuable role and is responsible for ensuring exceptional service through greeting residents, staff, visitors and as well as general administrative support. Our team is passionately committed to providing exceptional resort-style services every day. The Front/Concierge Desk is the hub of the residence and you will ensure that each experience is professional, personal, and exceptionally satisfying. As Concierge, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to all residents, family members, visitors and all guests that come through The Kensington doors from 4pm to midnight Sunday to Wednesday.
You will report to the General Manager and work closely with the onsite team which includes the Leadership Team and direct-service team members. You will demonstrate innovative thinking and provide support to all team members as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide a friendly and approachable image as the first point of contact
- Maintain a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors
- Ability to build relationships with residents, staff, and visitors while using compassion when dealing with difficult situations
- Manage incoming calls and transfer to appropriate individual
- Respond to emergency calls immediately
- Respond to resident inquiries promptly
- Operate and maintain office equipment
- General administrative support; documentation, mail/courier, office supply inventory
- Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements
- Ensure resident daily checks are completed and procedures followed
- Execute fire, safety and emergency plan on evenings as required.
- Ensure the Concierge Desk and lobby area kept neat and tidy.
- Assume person in charge responsibilities
Qualifications and Experience
- One (1) year experience as a Concierge or similar role is preferred
- Completion of post-secondary administration program is an asset
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Superior interpersonal skills to interact with residents, staff and visitors
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrating strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities, strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong computer literacy including effective working skills with Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, responsible and uses sound judgement
