As a Business Intelligence Data Analyst, you will work with internal and external clients to implement business intelligence and data solutions. You will be responsible for gathering and evaluating users' requirements; designing and guiding others on data management; data and information modeling; creating, testing, quality assurance, implementing, and supporting data driven solutions. Primary duties include:
- Perform data discovery analyses, produce reports, and provide written and verbal interpretations of data.
- Streamline data gathering processes by developing applications for collecting and querying data.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret large volumes of raw data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Convert and transform data within operational data and store into consumable formats for dashboards and reports consumption.
- Refine and automate data processes, data-flows or datasets to ensure information is collected and made available from the centralize data warehouse to the end user accurately, on-time and with minimal manual intervention.
- Work closely with Data Engineer and other Information Technology teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy are applied in the centralize data warehouse.
- Identify opportunities, deficiencies, or gaps in data models within the organization and take ownership for the solutions.
- Provide expertise, technical advice, and guidance for clients to define data visualization, reporting, or investigation artifacts. Review feedback with client and provide best practice. Ensure that products meet client needs.
- Identify and implement improvements of data analytics and data management.
Qualifications
- A 2-year Diploma in Data Analytics, Software Development, or a related discipline, plus less than 1 year of experience in Data Analysis and development of BI products.
- Previous experience with data visualization using Power BI (PBI), DAX, and M-Code is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI Paginated Reports is also required.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining Power BI Data Models, cloud and on-prem databases as well as database languages such as T-SQL is mandatory.
- Experience with Power BI Service Administration and Microsoft Fabric is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge in Python, MS SharePoint, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, ArcGIS, delivery of Geographic Information System (GIS) services, and Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) are preferred.
- You must have the following competencies: coaching and development, communication, efficiency and thoroughness, planning and prioritizing/visionary; relationship building, self-confidence, service orientation

- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
