Moosehead Breweries is the last major brewery in Canada still owned by Canadians. Headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, the company has been led by the Oland family since 1867. After more than 150 years, our history is as rich as the flavour of our beer.

We are recruiting for a Packaging Supervisor to work at the Brewery in Saint John, NB. The successful candidate will lead every aspect of a packaging team, taking complete accountability to achieve our objectives on safety, quality, cost, productivity and performance.

Responsibilities

• You will motivate and educate your crew using effective communication.
• Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures including Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s), safety practices and 5S related activities.
• You will assist in developing the production schedule to ensure the optimization of line productivity.
• In conjunction with the Quality Control Department, you will ensure strict adherence to our quality standards and procedures.
• Investigate and document non-conformances leading to the identification of the root cause and implementing effective corrective action.
• You will be accountable for all performance management activities of the team.
• Collaborate with intercompany departments to maximize production runs.

Qualifications

• Experience in beverage manufacturing or Consumer Packaged goods overall would be an asset
• Minimum of 2 years post-secondary education or 3-5 years of related experience
• You are self-directed with a great sense of ownership, and enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic work setting
• You are adaptable, approachable, a good active listener and respond positively to change
• You have the ability to motivate others towards achieving results.
• You are capable of analyzing information and thinking systematically.
• You have the skill to solve problems and can rely on data and evidence to make decisions.
• Comfortable with administrative software (payroll, manpower schedule etc..)
• You are flexible and are able to work shift work
