Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced contractor to migrate existing GitHub-based automation workflows to HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) and integrate HCP with Ansible. The goal is to establish a unified automation platform for infrastructure deployment and Day 2 operations, and complete our integration with ServiceNow for one-click service requests and operational automation.
Key Responsibilities
Assess existing GitHub repositories, GitHub Actions workflows, and automation pipelines. Develop and execute the migration strategy from GitHub-based automation to HCP. Design and implement HCP and Ansible integrations for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and Day 2 operations. Maintain GitHub repositories, including branching strategies, pull requests, access controls, reusable workflows, and version management. Build and optimize GitHub Actions workflows for testing, validation, security scanning, and automation. Develop reusable Terraform and Ansible modules, playbooks, templates, and workflows. Implement security, governance, approval, and audit requirements across the automation platform. Support testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and production readiness. Provide knowledge transfer and operational handover to internal teams. Optionally, integrate ServiceNow with HCP and Ansible to enable approved one-click deployments and Day 2 operational requests.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with HCP and Terraform. Advanced experience with Ansible, including playbooks, roles, inventories, and automation workflows. Strong experience managing GitHub repositories and enterprise source-control practices. Hands-on experience developing and supporting GitHub Actions workflows. Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, API integration, secrets management, and enterprise security controls. Experience designing automation for infrastructure deployments and Day 2 operations. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and knowledge-transfer skills. Experience working in enterprise cloud environments; Microsoft Azure experience is preferred.
Preferred Skills
Experience integrating ServiceNow with HCP, Ansible, GitHub Actions, or other automation platforms. Experience enabling ServiceNow catalog requests for one-click deployments, approvals, status updates, and Day 2 operations. Familiarity with ServiceNow APIs, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, webhooks, and service catalog workflows. Experience implementing automated governance, audit trails, and approval processes.
Required Experience
5 years of strong hands-on experience with HCP and Terraform. 5 years of advanced experience with Ansible, including playbooks, roles, inventories, and automation workflows. 5 years of experience managing GitHub repositories and enterprise source-control practices. 5 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, API integration, secrets management, and enterprise security controls.
