It is looking for a Purchasing and Production Planner. You will coordinate procurement, inventory management and order planning to ensure smooth and efficient production in a stimulating and collaborative environment.
Tasks
- Purchasing and Procurement :
- Analyze the needs for materials and components.
- Place orders, track deliveries, follow up with suppliers and compare offers to optimize purchases.
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure the compliance of products received.
- Inventory and warehouse management :
- Organize and supervise storage.
- Carry out periodic and annual inventories.
- Identify and track non-compliant products.
- Prepare and distribute the components needed for production.
- Production planning :
- Develop production plans according to priorities and orders.
- Prepare production orders (material lists – LoCs).
- Ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
- Adjust schedules in case of unforeseen events.
- Maintain an optimal level of inventory to avoid shortages or surpluses.
- Inter-departmental collaboration :
- Work closely with sales, production, and customer service teams to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Identify bottlenecks in order to improve processes.
- Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
- DEP or DEC in procurement, logistics or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Good command of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and office automation tools (Excel, Outlook).
- Organizational skills, rigor and ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
- Team player, autonomy and strong communication skills.
- Experience in metal or furniture manufacturing (an asset).
- Knowledge of procurement, inventory management and industrial production practices (an asset).
- Familiarity with material lists (LoM) and manufacturing processes (an asset).
